Laminated Glass

Safety Laminated Glass

Laminated Glass is Düzcam’s safety and security glass.

Advantages
  • Minimizes the risk of injury in accidents where people accidentally strike the glass.

  • Provides security against external impacts. In cases of vandalism or forced-entry attempts using stones, sticks, or similar objects, it prevents or delays penetration into the interior.

  • Contributes to sound insulation.

  • Blocks 97-99% of ultraviolet (UV) rays, preventing fading of furniture, fabrics, and interior surfaces.

  • When used in insulating glass units, it offers safety, security, and thermal insulation simultaneously.

  • Low-E coated laminated glass provides effective thermal control.

Glass is inherently a brittle material, and standard float glass has low impact resistance. Increasing the thickness of ordinary glass improves impact resistance but does not eliminate the risk of injury caused by glass breakage.
Laminated Glass, as Düzcam’s safety and security glass, minimizes these risks by keeping the fragments adhered to the interlayer in the event of breakage.

Colors and Patterns

Laminated Glass can be produced using blue, green, grey, bronze, turquoise, and dark grey tinted glass, offering various decorative options.
Opaque Laminated Glass and Frosted Laminated Glass provide privacy and safety without sacrificing daylight.

Applications

Application rules for safety glazing are defined in the standard TSE 13433 - Glass in Building - Safety Requirements Related to Human Impact.
According to this standard, Laminated Glass is recommended especially in locations where glass breakage can pose safety risks, such as:

  • Full-height glazing from floor to ceiling

  • Glazed doors and glazing adjacent to glass doors

  • Overhead glazing

Primary Application Areas:
