Frosted Glass
Frosted Glass is a decorative patterned glass produced by texturing one surface of flat glass.
Advantages
Glass, one of the most natural materials used in home and office design, brings the bright and shimmering touch of sunlight into your living spaces.
Frosted glass, designed for aesthetic interior applications, highlights the elegance of any environment.
It supports new ideas and creative design concepts.
In narrow or low-light areas, its natural and translucent texture provides a sense of brightness and spaciousness.
It offers innovative solutions for both interior and exterior design.
It allows light transmission and privacy at the same time.
Each pattern provides different levels of visual control suited to project requirements.
When laminated, it becomes safety and security glass.
It can be used in tempered form wherever safety is required.
Applying mirror coating to the patterned surface creates distinctive visual effects.

Technical Specifications
The production of frosted glass is based on allowing molten glass, once it reaches the appropriate temperature and viscosity inside the furnace, to flow out and pass between two metal rollers. During this process, the desired thickness and surface pattern are formed.
Frosted glass, produced by running molten glass between two rollers—one of which carries the decorative pattern—not only serves decorative purposes but can also be manufactured using low-iron raw materials to create solar glass for use in solar energy systems (solar panels and solar collectors).
The depth and texture of the patterns determine the glass’s light transmission and visibility control.
Frosted glass, which is fully natural and environmentally friendly due to its raw materials and its production method—without any secondary processing—can undergo the following processes:
-
Edge processing
-
Lamination
-
Tempering
-
Bending
-
Insulating glass (double glazing)
In lamination, the patterned side must face outward.
In locations where safety is required, tempered frosted glass should be used.
Quality
Frosted Glass is manufactured in accordance with TS EN 572-5 - Glass in Building - Basic Soda Lime Silicate Glass Products - Part 5: Patterned Glass.
Visibility Control Values
Each frosted glass pattern has its own unique visibility control value.
If you are unsure which pattern best suits your application, we recommend reviewing the visibility control values to help determine the most appropriate option.
