Acoustic Laminated Glass
Acoustic Laminated Glass
Acoustic Laminated Glass is Düzcam’s high-performance noise control glass.
Advantages
-
Reduces outdoor noise to a normal, comfortable indoor level, improving overall quality of life.
-
Helps mitigate the harmful effects of noise on human health.
-
Minimizes the risk of injury in accidents caused by people accidentally hitting the glass.
-
Provides safety against external impacts, preventing or delaying forced entry attempts such as stone throwing or stick attacks.
-
Blocks 97-99% of ultraviolet (UV) rays, preventing the fading of furniture, textiles, and interior surfaces.
-
When used in insulating glass units, it delivers safety, security, noise control, and thermal insulation simultaneously.
-
Achieves enhanced thermal performance when combined with Low-E coated acoustic laminated glass.

Technical Specification
Acoustic Laminated Glass is produced by bonding two or more glass panes under heat and pressure using special acoustic polyvinyl butyral (PVB) interlayers that provide sound insulation. Thanks to these PVB layers, acoustic laminated glass absorbs and dampens sound vibrations, resulting in significantly reduced sound transmission to the other side.
For effective sound insulation, similar measures must also be taken in other structural elements such as walls, roofs, and window/door frames, as the overall acoustic performance depends on the entire building envelope.
